Prizes

The competition will award the following prizes:

First prize: U$ 30,000

Second prize: U$ 20,000

Third prize: U$ 15,000

3 Diplomas: U$ 1,500 (each)

The prizes in money will be expressed in gross values and the taxes determined by the current legislation will be discounted.

The Jury may, at its discretion:

a) not award any of the prizes, if it decides the artistic level was below expectation;

b) divide the prizes, in the case of a tie;

c) award special prizes.

The prizes will be awarded in a ceremony on 10 July 2010, Saturday, at 8 p.m., at the Governador Pedro Ivo Campos Theater.

 

Special Prizes

• Best interpreter of the Schumann Quintet: U$ 1,000 in cash;

• The Keyboard Trust Career Development Prize: one or more concerts in London or another city, plus U$ 2,000 in cash;

• Best interpreter of the Chopin work: U$ 1,000 in cash.
